Please note - taxis to & from the airports are expensive !
Alicante airport is 35 miles south of Benidorm with a bus service each way 4 times daily.
Murcia airport is 40 miles further south of Alicante.
Valencia is 80 miles north of Benidorm.

The following hotels in Benidorm have received favourable reviews from people who have walked with us over the past four years. All can be booked either through the usual tour operators or (often more cheaply) directly over the internet :
BENIDORM
4 STAR
Don Pancho - the grande dame of Benidorm's 4 star establishments. A good hotel in a great location.
Benidorm Plaza - the most popular hotel in our Tui/Thomson walking program.
Diplomatic - a cosmopolitan hotel close to the old town.
Corona del Mar - no direct link to this Poniente beach hotel but it can be reached via Benidorm Virtual Hotels.
3 STAR
Torre Dorada - at the far end of the poniente beach from Benidorm a quiet hotel with magnificent views. (Undergoing refurbishment as of Nov 2006)
Benilux Park - This web-site is in Spanish only so it's more difficult to book directly but the hotel is spoken well of by people who came with us through the Thomson program. A cosmopolitan hotel.
Poseidon & Poseidon Palace - twin hotels well located close to the old town. (We have been told that these two hotels are currently operating with only one kitchen between them and the quality of the food is suffering accordingly).
2 STAR
Mar Blau - a small, friendly hotel which offers good value right on the Poniente beach close to the old town. Recently (2003) smartened up so probably closer to a 3 star. (Avoid lower rooms)

INSURANCE

Sports Cover Direct provides reasonably priced insurance for a wide range of activities including those we offer.
The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) also offers a wide range of coverage options for other activities as well as "mountaineering".
